Modeling of convection-dominated melting in rectangular enclosures

A validated CFD by ANSYS model is built for a melting process of PCM (gallium), inside rectangular enclosure heated from one side and cooled another. This was carried out enabling the solidification in addition energy ANSYS. Regression front results utilized integrated numerical approach MATLAB to generate constants Nusselt correlations effective conductivity during different stages that can be used define locations temperature at grid locations. In addition, effect wall aspect ratio variation on have been simulated analyzed details. Enthalpy method conduction equations 2-D were describe predicted share convection process, with trial error assuming automatically. Accordingly, simple conservative time way same time, are mainly indicating heat transfer affects behavior which coherence previous experimental analytical literature. Also, investigated assure more ratio, better homogeneity.
